A writer on a trajectory to becoming the best-selling author of her memoir, Tall, Sonya’s work has been published in The Hockey News, Women’s Health, Albuquerque The Magazine, East Mountain Living, and various other publications.
She earned her B.A. in psychology and completed graduate coursework in cultural anthropology before becoming a certified fitness technician. In Albuquerque, she was an extra in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Night Shift, and other TV shows. She is a retired USA Hockey ice hockey official.
Sonya lives in Minneapolis, where she moved just as COVID-19 invaded the U.S., with her husband and two air-purifying plants.
